1. Visual Inspection

Purpose: Ensure product appearance is flawless and meets design expectations.

Checks:

  • Fabric surface for snags, oil stains, discoloration, or uneven patterns
  • Print or dye alignment on patterned silk
  • Folding, pleating, or knotting is neat and uniform
  • Threading and stitching are straight and free of loose ends

Notes:

  • Pay special attention to light and dark colors
  • Inspect small creases or pressure marks carefully

2. Dimensions & Specifications

Purpose: Confirm that product dimensions match design requirements and provide comfortable wear.

Checks:

  • Elastic hair ties: diameter and stretch range
  • Bows: length, width, and symmetry
  • Headbands: length, width, and thickness
  • Placement of fillings, knots, or decorative elements

3. Sewing & Fastening

Purpose: Ensure structural integrity and secure components.

Checks:

  • Stitching is strong and straight; no loose threads
  • Knots or bows are securely fastened and maintain shape
  • Elastic bands are firmly attached and recover well after stretching
  • Clips or metal/plastic fasteners are properly fixed and free of sharp edges
  • Decorative elements (pearls, rhinestones, etc.) are securely attached

4. Elasticity & Fabric Hand

Purpose: Guarantee comfort, shape retention, and smooth touch.

Checks:

  • Stretch and recovery of elastic bands
  • Softness and smoothness of silk fabric
  • No permanent deformation after stretching (The inner features high-quality elastic band, ensuring durability and preventing deformation with extended use (can not totally avoid).)

5. Packaging Inspection

Purpose: Ensure products reach customers in perfect condition.

Checks:

  • Correct folding, rolling, or arrangement to prevent creases
  • Labels, tags, and care instructions are complete and properly attached
  • Outer packaging is clean, undamaged, and protective

6. Sampling & Record Keeping

Purpose: Ensure traceability and control of defect rates.

Procedure:

  • Inspect a representative sample per batch (e.g., using AQL standards)
  • Record all defects, locations, and quantities
  • Isolate and label non-conforming items
  • Maintain records for batch traceability and continuous improvement
